To you,
the one reading this,
make yourself comfortable. Feel at home.
My name is Ian, and I am a jurist, pianist, and educator. I work in Paris. And I live a multifaceted life.
In the legal field, I am competent in legal and regulatory matters related to environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and corporate governance. My area of expertise, in which I have accumulated significant knowledge, is space law. We find ourselves in a dynamic era of space exploration marked by the rapid emergence of new uses of extraterrestrial space, necessitating laws and policies to enable them. I conduct research on international and national laws related to space, aiming to deepen my understanding of evolving objectives and action plans of actors within the space community. I dedicate myself to analysing current issues in international space law and policy, as well as examining emerging challenges arising from new private actors and space initiatives.
My background in public and constitutional law has allowed me to contribute to meaningful civic and academic discussions. Over the past fifteen years, I have participated in parliamentary debates on the reform of Italian citizenship law, representing the association Rete G2 Seconde Generazioni. I have also collaborated with Italian Studies departments in the United States and Canada on initiatives related to administration, inclusion, and digital transformation within Italian civil society. These experiences strengthened my analytical, communication, and cross-cultural skills, all essential in international and institutional contexts.
For over a decade, I have also worked as an English teacher, both privately and online, collaborating with companies and institutions across Italy. I have delivered effective lessons to more than 100 students and professionals of various proficiency levels, achieving tangible progress in linguistic and professional development. I am specialised in preparing students for Cambridge University examinations (KET, PET, FCE, CAE, and CPE), maintaining a 90% first-attempt pass rate. My students and clients become confident international communicators — capable of studying, working, and negotiating abroad with autonomy and clarity.
In parallel, I have pursued a long-standing passion for music and film composition. I began piano studies at the age of eight under pianist and conductor Simone Genuini, later refining my technique with Stefano Nerozzi. Over the years, I have performed throughout Italy and Europe, organising concerts and performing for audiences who share a love of expressive and meaningful music. For the past six years, I have performed in a piano duo with Chiara Fantino, designing programs that combine artistic precision with emotional resonance.
In addition to performance, I have composed soundtracks for films and short films, collaborating with directors such as Fred Kudjo Kuwornu and Nicole Morpurgo. In February 2024, I contributed to the original score of We Were Here – The Untold Stories of Black Africans in Renaissance Europe, a documentary by Fred Kudjo Kuwornu, produced by Do The Right Films and premiered on April 20, 2024, at the 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.
My diverse background may seem unusual, if not eccentric, but I always find motivation in serving the people who rely on me, especially those I love. My promise is to always offer respect, an insatiable appetite for knowledge, a willingness to solve problems, and a generous dose of music.
See you very soon,
Ian
